Evidence first.
Conclusion second.
We build a verification plan for each case instead of running the same generic detector on everything. Different evidence deserves different questions. The product is useful because it knows what can actually be checked, and where.
Four stages. No shortcuts.
Scroll. Each stage stacks on the last, the way evidence should.
Understand the task
What is the user asking to verify, and what would count as evidence? A receipt and a contract don’t get the same plan. Neither does a screenshot of either.
Parse the material
Entities, dates, amounts, claims, references, document properties and relationships. A story becomes a list. Lists can be checked.
Build a source plan
Select the relevant connected systems, public sources and internal checks. Each claim gets the witness that was actually there.
Return an evidence map
Confirmed facts, conflicts, suspicious signals, source quality and unresolved gaps. In that order. With links. Without adjectives.
We stop at the evidence. Not at 100.
A trustworthy system says when the evidence is weak. The needle goes as far as the sources allow, and then it stops, on purpose.
What the sources allow
Three sources agreed, one question has no witness yet. That is the ceiling. We don’t round up.
What we refuse to invent
The missing 13 is a named gap with a suggested next step, not a confidence we made up to look decisive.
Adjectives in the report
“Likely”, “clearly”, “obviously” are not evidence. We use verdicts, sources and links.
Confidence is not certainty
A trustworthy system should say when evidence is weak. “Not verified” is often more useful than pretending something is true or false.
Human review stays visible
High-stakes legal, financial, identity or fraud decisions keep their source links, rationale and a clear path for a human to look again. The machine narrows the question. A person answers it.
